Emxys featured in Research*EU magazine
The results magazine of the European Commission highlights the BET’s project in its latest issue.
Research*EU, the magazine where research results obtained from the European Commission projects are presented, includes a special section dedicated to space junk removal in its May issue. Within that section, which indeed inspired the editorial, the BET’s project is described along an interview to BET’s project coordinator, UPM’s Professor Juan R. Sanmartin. Entitled “Thin as a rail, strong as a rock” the interview remarks the arguments in favor of the bare electrodynamic tethers in space technology for disposal of spacecraft at the end of their lifetimes.

The Bare Electrodynamics Tether Project is a research project funded by the European Commission FP7 aimed at developing an innovative technology for LEO Satellites deorbiting based on Electrodynamic tethers.
