EMXYS presented as XCOR integrator

XCOR officially presents EMXYS as an Official Payload Integrator for its Lynx Suborbital Vehicle

The 2012 Next Generation Suborbital Researchers Conference held at in Palo Alto has been chosen by XCOR to present emxys as one its payload processing and sales channel for the Lynx suborbital vehicle in Europe. emxys has been collaborating with  XCOR since 2011 in order to provide flight services and assist in creating standardization in research hardware for the suborbital market on board the Lynx vehicle.

Under the AS91Lynx00C:2009 quality certification, emxys will facilitate and provision flight services on the Lynx by ensuring that end users understand the packaging, environmental, safety, operational flight profile(s) and interface (physical, electrical and data) requirements of the Lynx for both automated experiments not requiring user intervention during flight, and those experiments when the scientist accompanies the payload to the edge of space. emxys will provide a variety of additional value added services depending on their individual service offering and customer needs, including, but not limited to fabrication, test and qualification of experiments for the Lynx environment.

This cooperation is fully in line with emxys strategy to provide fast access to space for scientific experiments and demonstration technologies at highly competitive costs.

XCOR Aerospace is a California corporation located in Mojave, California. The company is in the business of developing and producing safe, reliable and reusable rocket powered vehicles, propulsion systems, advanced non-flammable composites and other enabling technologies. XCOR is working with aerospace prime contractors and government customers on major propulsion systems, and concurrently building the Lynx, a piloted, two-seat, fully reusable, liquid rocket powered vehicle that takes off and lands horizontally.

The Lynx-family of vehicles serves three primary missions depending on their specific type including: research & scientific missions, private spaceflight, and micro satellite launch (only on the Lynx Mark III).  The Lynx production models (designated Lynx Mark II) are designed to be robust, multi-mission (research / scientific or private spaceflight) commercial vehicles capable of flying to 100+ km in altitude up to four times per day and are being offered on a wet lease basis.

emxys  is an R&D company that designs and produces small space platforms, embedded instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems for space applications under AS9100C:2009 quality standards. Its expertise has been applied in its participation in NASA, JAXA and European Space Agency projects related with optical and capacitive sensors, one European FP7 project for space debris mitigation, several subsystems for one scientific orbital probe and one suborbital launcher. At this moment emxys is engaged with the production of a rotary sensors for the next generation of telecommunication satellites, sensors for high temperature monitoring in spacecraft shields and a complete nano-sat mission, christened Polytech.1, for the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia.
